Flood Relief Fund Update & Acknowledgment

Recently, heavy rainfall in Nepal (from 10th to 13th Ashoj, 2081 BS) caused severe flooding and landslides, particularly in the Kavrepalanchok district, resulting in the loss of lives and property. In response, the organization issued a notice for relief collection through its TD Bank and Chess Bank accounts.

We are pleased to inform you that a total of $2,186 has been deposited into the organization’s account by 24 Kabhreli families. Continuing this tradition of support, we kindly request your assistance in similar humanitarian efforts in the future.

Additionally, we wish to inform you that the $2,186 raised from Kabhreli families has been transferred from the organization’s TD Bank account to the Roshi Rural Municipality Disaster Management Fund (Siddhartha Bank, Roshi branch, account number 03615043598) on Saturday, December 28, 2024. Please find the details below for your reference.

Why Was the Relief Fund Transferred Only to Roshi Rural Municipality?

Some may wonder why the funds were transferred solely to Roshi Rural Municipality. Among the three municipalities affected by the floods—Panauti Municipality, Bethanchok Rural Municipality, and Roshi Rural Municipality—Roshi was reported to have suffered the most damage.

Efforts were made to reach out to all three municipalities; however, we received no response from either Panauti or Bethanchok. After receiving a response from the Chief of Roshi Municipality, the transfer was made as per the decision during the organization’s Zoom meeting on Thursday, December 26, 2024.

We hope this clarifies the situation. Once again, we sincerely thank you all for your continued support.
