Dipesh Kuwar, the eldest child of Father Vasant Kuwar and mother Gyanimaya Kuwar, hailed from a low middle-class family in Sharada Batase Ward No. 4, now Panauti Municipality Ward Number 10. Bashant Kumar, a hardworking general carpenter, tirelessly strived to ensure Dipesh’s education up to +2 level in Nepal. Determined to provide his son with higher education in the United States, Bashant sold his ancestral paddy field to fund Dipesh’s dreams.
In 2016, Dipesh embarked on his journey to Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri, pursuing Mechanical Engineering. However, his aspirations faced a setback with the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, plunging the world into chaos. Stranded far from home, Dipesh grappled with mental distress.
Despite the challenges, Dipesh found solace in the unwavering support of his friends and the Kavrepalanchok American Welfare Society. In June 2020, recognizing his dire financial situation, the Society rallied the Nepalese community, especially those from Kavrepalanchok, residing in the USA, to raise funds. Through collective efforts, $2062.02 was gathered, enabling Dipesh to return to Nepal safely.
Arriving in Nepal on June 25, 2020, Dipesh reunited with his family and remained there until December 2021, enduring 18 months of separation. On December 23, 2021, he resumed his academic journey at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.
